Activity of cryptomats in the Russian Federation isn't regulated by the law. According to Darbinyan, withdrawal of cryptomats has happened in six cities of Russia: Krasnodar, Rostov, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Voronezh and Krasnoyarsk. The senior assistant prosecutor of the Novosibirsk region Dmitry Lyamkin has reported to RIA Novosti that "at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office in the Novosibirsk region the inspection connected with legality of a turn of cryptocurrency in the territory of the region was carried out".
