Astronomers have opened the unusual exoplanet with "iron" clouds - RIA Novosti, 8/15/2018

MOSCOW, 15 Aug – RIA Novosti. Planetologists have found extremely unusual exoplanet in the Cygnus constellation whose atmosphere is heated to so high temperatures that in her clouds from titanium and iron soar. Their conclusions have been published in the Nature.© NASA/JPL-Caltech/Robert Hurt magazine Astronomers have discovered almost so hot planet as the Sun "When we have counted properties of the atmosphere KELT-9b, we have understood that it will consist completely of atoms, but not molecules. Being guided by these predictions, we have tried to find iron in her atmosphere. When we have glanced more deeply, we have found even more surprises" — Jens Hoeijmakers from the University of Geneva (Switzerland) tells. "Hot floodlights" astronomers call the warmed gas giants which are removed from the stars on only 2,2-75 million kilometers. In Solar system even Mercury approaches a star not closer, than on 46 million kilometers and therefore really infernal temperatures – about 1000-1300 degrees Kelvin reign in the atmospheres of such planets. It is much easier to find such planets, than other celestial bodies, and they make the most part known to science of ekzomir. Opening of "hot floodlights" has for the first time presented scientists with a fait accompli that the atmosphere on such planets can consist of extremely exotic materials. For example, gas giants with lead and glass clouds and also the air consisting of the evaporated metals and rocks in which top layers sometimes there are rains from rubies and sapphires were in recent years open. Relatively recently scientists have found several "hot floodlights" whose atmospheres have been heated to even more high temperatures exceeding 2,5 thousand degrees Kelvin. In addition to an infernal heat, their air beds had unusual structure – they were hot outside more cold from within, like Earth stratosphere. © Astronomers have found University of Warwick/Mark Garlick the planet where there are rains from rubies and sapfirovpodobny anomalies have forced scientists to assume that the atmosphere of these of "ultrahot floodlights" is warmed by some heavy-duty greenhouse effect which two substances can generate – titanium dioxide or oxide of vanadium.Hueymakers and its colleague have proved that the titan really is present at the atmosphere of such worlds, watching KELT-9b, the hottest planet of the Galaxy remote from us on 650 light years. She is located unusually close to a star – year on her lasts about 1,5 Earth days thanks to what on her surface infernal temperatures and extremely unusual atmospheric conditions reign. In particular, her "solar" party is warmed up to the temperature of 4600 degrees Kelvin (4326 degrees Celsius) that with a huge stock covers a record of one more superhot planet, WASP-33b whose atmosphere is heated "all" up to 3200 degrees Kelvin (2926 degrees Celsius). Because of so high temperatures the atmosphere of KELT-9b is very strongly rarefied and actually consists of single atoms as molecules in such conditions can't just be formed. © NASA/GSFC Astronomers about
